This article talks about satellites. Various questions related to different Upgarh have been included here. Such as:- what is satellite, what is the definition of satellite, types of satellite, what is a planet, uses of satellites, communication, what is satellite in hindi, what is satellite communication, satellite used for, satellite phone How many types of satellites are there etc. have been told here.
What are satellites called?
Definition of satellite :-
The celestial bodies that revolve around the planet in its gravitational field are called satellites.
The objects that revolve around the earth are called geo-satellites.
These satellites have circular or ellipsoidal orbits about the Earth. The motion of earth satellites is almost similar to that of the planets around the Sun.
type of satellite
There are mainly two types of satellites-
(1) natural satellite
(2) Artificial satellite
what are natural satellites called
Those satellites, which are formed naturally and revolve around a planet in a fixed orbit, are called natural satellites. Natural satellites are commonly called moons, although the word moon is used to refer to Earth's only satellite.
Such satellites, which are man-made and have been placed in fixed orbits above the earth for various types of information gathering and communication facilities, are called artificial satellites. On the basis of launch objective and orbits, artificial satellites are classified into 2 categories-
(1) Geosynchronous satellites
(2) Polar satellite
geostationary satellite
The orbit of a satellite revolving around the earth in which its period of revolution is equal to that of the earth i.e. 24 hours and the direction of rotation is parallel from west to east, then such a satellite is called a geostationary satellite. The orbital speed of a geostationary satellite is 3.1 km per second.
(features of a geostationary satellite)
1. Their period of revolution is exactly equal to that of the Earth, that is, 24 hours.
2. Their height is 36000 km above the earth level.
3. They move parallel to the equator of the earth.
(2) Polar satellite
Those medium and low altitude artificial satellites whose plane of orbit passes near the earth's north and south pole are called polar satellites.
With the help of these satellites, information about distant places can be obtained. That's why they are also called Remote Sensing Satellites. These satellites move opposite to the rotation speed of the earth. Their orbit is called retrograde orbit. Their orbital period is a few hours to about 100 minutes. The direction of orbit of a polar satellite is north-south. Whereas the earth rotates on its axis from west to east. Under it, the earth rotates in the east-west direction.
Uses Of Satellite :-
Now we will learn about some uses of satellites. Here the access of satellites has been told here.
In the communication system-
Today, different types of communication are happening in this whole world, the role of some satellites is very important to make these communications work properly, due to which we can do any program on television, without any interruption, any conversation on mobile. And we are able to use tools like the internet very easily.
Weather information-
Satellites are also used for information about sudden changes in weather, information about any disaster or many types of weather related activities. Many satellites are also used to study meteorites and various astronomical activities and their changes.
Atmosphere Study-
Satellites also play an important role in the study of various events happening in the atmosphere of the earth on which human existence is alive today.
